Here at GoTrend we write because we can! Students are often the most disregarded as apart of the Journalism community so here at GoTrend we have an open platform to display what we’ve got, If you’re interested in writing along with us, then why not drop us a mail! The GoTrend team works in sync with everyday life, capturing pieces of news along the way. Our aim is to provide the student (and older) group with activities and information that are relevant to the people living in Johannesburg.
Batting
There are four batting pairs per team that will face five overs each making up 20 overs per innings. These five overs consist of four regulation overs and one PowaBall over. Should batsmen be given out during any of the regulation overs, four runs will be deducted from their score. During a PowaBall over six runs will be deduced for the loss of a wicket, however any runs scored off the bat during a PowaBall over will earn batsmen an additional two runs. For example, if a batsman in a PowaBall over hits a four he will in fact get six runs!
Bowling
Every over is limited to six balls with the PowaBall overs being the exception, allowing for one extra ball in the case of a fault ball being bowled during the over. Every time a fault ball is bowled during an over the batting side will receive additional runs. This works on a sliding scale system which resets itself every over, for example; For the first fault ball bowled in an over the batting side will receive two runs. For the second fault ball bowled the batting side will receive three runs and so on, until the over is completed.
Game Points
Points are given to teams at the end of every game which moves them up and down the points table throughout the course of the league. The points are given out based on various aspects of every game, these include the total score, wickets taken and the combined PowaBall total.
- The teams that wins the game with the highest overall total will receive three points.
- The team that was able to take the most wickets during the game will receive one point.
- The team that has made the most runs from their combined PowaBall overs will receive one point.
So there are always lots of points up for grabs every game, ensuring that games are always closely contested!
ProOpt Computer Services CC provides quality computer optimization, networking, support and sales solutions with a focus on small enterprises as well as individuals. We have the experience and facilities to provide for all of your IT requirements.
ProOpt is renowned for our itemised billing structure. We do not think it is fair that IT companies charge an hourly rate for computer services while the skill levels of individual technicians can vary greatly, the less experience a technician has, the more you end up paying. Our itemised billing structure allows us to provide a cost effective solution to fulfil your IT requirements. ProOpt provides good value and great service.
We noticed that many people are using computers which have not been maintained and there is a need to improve computer performance and stability. Computer hardware is usually sufficient for the needs of the user, but over time, performance degrades. It is for this reason that the ProOpt Optimization Packages were developed. With a ProOpt Optimization Package, computers run faster and more reliably without the need for expensive hardware upgrades or replacement.
Please browse through our website, you will find out more about who we are and what we do, that our services are far more than just fixing computers. Get a quotation by using our interactive quote form, take a look at our current sales and promotional offers, and then contact us with any queries using our contact form.
The concept of The Bar Academy is a simple one. In essence, The Bar Academy is split up into different parts, namely; the training academy which offers off-site as well as on-site training relating to all aspects of the bar industry; team building which is available on site or off site; pub crawls, tours to SA Breweries and more.
Market research has shown a dramatic decline in the standard of bar staff and their service in the bartending industry. The Bar Academy has identified a lack of customer service, spirit knowledge, up-selling and an overall stagnation as major problems in the bar environment. The bar industry in South Africa is in dire need of change and an earlier indication of positive trends has not been realised. New concepts have not filtered through to the bars and clubs. Venue owners have been lulled into complacency in contrast with the international market, where bartending has progressed into an industry in itself.
The Bar Academy uses information from these types of surveys to build training programs developed specifically to set a standard in your bar and consistently develop your bar staff teaching them new concepts, informing them of new revelations and helping them achieve their goals as well as those of the organisation.
